Friends...

My take on friendship...hmmm.... Well.  To me, true friends are like family.  You can say what you feel without fear of being judged (too harshly!)  and you can really be yourself even on not-so-good days.

I've been really lucky.  I've had a best friend for quite some time and didn't even realize it until recently.  To be honest, he didn't fit the "typical" best friend mold until I took a really good look.  I mean, we don't go shopping together and we don't talk to each other for hours on the phone.   But one day, I just found that we shared a lot of our lives with each other which has been so cool.

I'm very grateful to have found such a bud.

Knowing what you know now, if you could go back in time and change some part of your life what would you change?

For me, I would definitely have gone to college like my mother told me to. Getting married right out of high school didn't allow me the opportunity to figure out who I really am. I didn't get to do the things a wild single college girl does. Not that I would do everything, but it would have been nice to experience the highs and lows of young adulthood.

A Kiss

kiss v. kissed, kiss·ing, kiss·es. v. –tr. To touch or caress with the lips as an expression of affection, greeting, respect, or amorousness.

The first one you share with someone is always awkward no matter how experienced you are. You’re not sure if it will be on the cheek or on the lips or somewhere completely off the mark. Will it be short and sweet? Will it be long and lingering? Will the noses get in the way? Will it be accompanied by a hug or a squeeze?

Even as important as the kiss itself, is the effect it has. Will it be reciprocated or will it be rebuffed? Will it be the biggest mistake or will it bring on a new love? Does it have some deeper meaning or did someone have one too many margaritas? The true meaning can be hard to figure out.

One thing is for sure, there’s nothing like it.

On Flirting ;-)

I can't say I'm a big flirter. After all, my days of flirting are over. Or are they??? Do we ever stop flirting?

Absolutely not! Even though we might be involved with someone else in some shape or form it's hard to resist our true animal instinct: that wink at a stoplight, the flirty IM, or the "accidental" touch commingled with a pregnant stare. Yeah, you know what I mean.

Although some people are better at it than others. The ones I hate are the clueless kind that love to loiter around my desk for hours...or the ones that think insults will make me swoon. "Yes, you're right I never do any work because you're always annoying me!" Honestly, that's SO elementary school. An experienced flirt would never. Ya gotta be careful though. The experienced flirt knows how to use his power. You never know if he'll use it for good or...evil.
